Unlock Your Teen's Potential for Independence and Success

Empower your teen with the executive function skills required in order to thrive in high school, college, and beyond.

Tell Me How!

Navigating life in late high school and college can be overwhelming for our teens and young adults.

They may struggle with grades, health, and relationships despite being intelligent, incredible humans. You may feel like you’re managing their life from the outside, worrying that they won’t be able to make it on their own. And, though the solutions seem obvious to you (Hello? Just please use your planner!), you’re clashing with your teen and don’t know where to go for help.

  • Do you feel like your teen is drowning in schoolwork and responsibilities?
  • Are they struggling to stay organized and manage their time effectively?
  • Is your teen's stress level affecting their academic performance and well-being?
  • Do you worry about their transition from high school to college?
  • Is your teen constantly procrastinating and unable to follow through on tasks?
  • Are you concerned that they lack the life skills needed to thrive independently?

We learn, we coach, and we end the struggle!

A future where your teen thrives, not just academically, but in all aspects of life. Imagine them as confident, organized, and empowered to reach their full potential. This isn't a dream, it's a reality within reach.

Here's a glimpse into what that future could look like for your family:

  • Forget the frantic scramble for forgotten textbooks or sports gear. See your teen easily preparing for the day, their schedule organized and tasks prioritized. Family outings become stress-free, allowing for quality time together without last-minute scrambling.
  • Dinnertime conversations buzz with excitement as your teen shares their newfound confidence in tackling that challenging science project. Gone are the struggles of forgotten homework and last-minute cramming. Instead, you see a young adult who's organized, in control, and crushing their goals.
  • Stressful test week used to mean slammed doors and silent meals. Now, witness your teen calmly devising a study plan, utilizing effective tools learned to manage their workload. They breathe deeply, feeling empowered with the knowledge to handle anything that comes their way.
  • College acceptance letters arrive, and your teen beams with pride, not just at the achievement, but at the independence they've cultivated. The transition feels smooth, a testament to the skills they've honed.
  • The impact of your teen's success on others. Perhaps they mentor younger siblings or classmates, sharing their newfound organizational skills and study habits. This creates a positive cycle within the family and beyond.

Meet Sarah Kesty - Your Teen's New Executive Function Guide!

I love what I do. Executive function is my passion and purpose. I’ve seen it transform lives, and I’m on a mission to make that level of support and change available to students, adults, and families everywhere!

When I discovered that most of my students were struggling because they were lacking skills not intelligence, I began to innovate lessons and coaching sessions to fill the executive function gaps and catch kids up! After years of hearing from colleagues and parents that these strategies had profound positive impacts, I wondered how I could share these ideas and help even more students! Through my podcast, courses, and coaching, I now help students, parents, educators, and therapists who are struggling with invisible missing skills.

I’m honored to write, present, and coach around the world, to a variety of audiences. My forthcoming book will help teachers support executive function development in students. When I’m not working, you’ll find me hiking, gardening, cooking, or enveloping myself in my wonderful family and friends.

My son started working with Sarah two years ago after a teacher his freshman year recommended he find a coach to help him manage the workload in high school. I found Sarah on Google, and I'm so very grateful that I did. Working with Sarah has given my son tools and strategies that have transformed his school experience for him. Sarah has helped him change his perspective. He's taken ownership of his school experience, of the way his brain works and is now always looking for new solutions to his problems. Rather than feeling defeated by his struggles, he feels empowered to manage new challenges as they come his way. I know this has set up him up not just for high school and college, but for life beyond that, and I could not be more grateful for what coaching has done for him.

I honestly can't say enough good things about Sarah and what she has meant to our family. My 16 yr old daughter was truly struggling with school, and we were all struggling at home. Sarah spent time with my daughter, getting to know how her particular brain works. She helped my daughter find individualized strategies to tackle her ADHD and make the most of her unique brain. The results have been stellar, with my daughter going from failing some classes to earning all A's. The tears of frustration we were shedding have turned to tears of gratitude and pride! Besides all that, Sarah is just a wonderful, caring human who is full of light and positivity!

Sarah is truly gifted! Our school-aged daughter struggles with ADHD and dyslexia. Not only has Sarah helped us advocate for her in the academic world, she has also been an invaluable emotional resource for our entire family as we all navigate the ups and downs of having a neurodivergent child. She goes beyond simply coaching and is truly an ally.

I love having the videos between coaching sessions. I can remind myself of the tools and get help any time I need it. When I coach with Sarah, I always end up feeling so much relief. We make a plan and strategies that really work!

Our family's experience has been transformativeover the past two years. Sarah Kesty's knowledge-base in regards to neurodiversity is solid, and more importantly the quality of the connection she creates with her clients is empathic, authentic, safe, non-judgmental and is also simultaneously motivating in a transformative way. We opted out of medications, and have been SO fortunate to have been under the guidance of Sarah's most compassionate care.

Sarah Kesty is quite simply a gifted executive functioning coach. There are so many well meaning (but ineffective) people offering this type of support. Look no further! Sarah's deep knowledge and enthusiasm allow her to quickly connect and build trust with her students. The improvements she is able to make in a relatively short time are noticeable and impactful. She helped my daughter excel in the full IB diploma and make a seamless transition to a rigorous college environment. I have no doubt my child's path would have been much rockier and more stressful without Sarah's expert guidance and support. She gives teens the critical tools they need to manage their academic and social lives in a judgement free, supportive way. Highly recommend!

I watched 3 videos in the Quick Tools Vault and realized that this was the best thing I’ve tried. High school was stupid hard for me, even though I’m “smart.” (I never felt smart). I nearly failed every class because of missing work and deadlines. Sarah didn’t shame me for it. She actually explained what was happening and what I could do to get work in on time. It worked. Also, when I had trouble with my roommates, I actually learned how to problem solve with them too. I feel like this program helped me learn how to adult without talking down to me. Thank you.

Sarah Kesty is amazing!! She advises us on our education programs at RedRover, a Sacramento-based nonprofit working to bring animals out of crisis and strengthen the bond between people and animals. She volunteers her expertise on the RedRover Readers program and Kind News magazine, assisting with the content of our curriculum and helping to ensure it is inclusive and accessible to all. We are incredibly lucky to benefit from her support and expertise!

When you are living with ADHD, it’s hard to explain the shame and judgement from the outside world that comes with it. I felt like Ms. Kesty was one of very few who really helped the kids and me to really understand ADHD objectively, without blame. She taught about the condition from an executive functioning standpoint. Once we had Ms. Kesty on board, the kids and I began to learn and understand so much about ADHD. My kids’ confidence grew and they have learned how to accept and embrace themselves as humans; they have abandoned the negative thinking of “but I have ADHD so I can’t” and now have learned how to navigate alongside it instead of fighting it. Ms. Kesty helped make my kids feel SEEN and UNDERSTOOD. Now, my kids believe in themselves, and this matters so much when you are living with ADHD, and Ms. Kesty gets that. She’s amazing.

I wasn’t sure about coaching at first. I’ve tried a few online videos and so many planners. I didn’t want this to be one more thing that didn’t actually help. I’m SO glad I met Sarah. She taught me how to actually work with my brain and so many tools that made school a lot easier. I’m passing my classes now, and the best part is I don’t feel like I’m drowning anymore.

As Seen In

Now IS the right time.

  • Our kids need tools to navigate an increasingly distracting and demanding world.
  • High schools and colleges don’t teach executive function, but they require students to have the skills.
  • Colleges report increased student class failure, depression, and disengagement (2022 Healthy Minds). Executive function tools decrease the likelihood of significant struggles in college.
  • You’re investing a lot in college. Life After High School helps you protect your investment by empowering your teen to thrive on campus.
  • The class of 2024 were Freshman in the Covid online year of school, missing opportunities to develop executive function.
  • Investing in your teen's development now will set them up for long-term success and independence. (Executive dysfunction is associated with higher risk of substance abuse, poor health, employment difficulties, and poor relationships).
  • Coaching provides a bridge to independence, allowing your teen to safely and effectively grow with expert guidance and unwavering support.
  • The parent events provide you with support as you navigate the process alongside your teen.

Help My Teen Thrive!

Still have questions?

Life After High School is PERFECT for your teen or young adult if they:

  • Feel like they’re always stressed, overwhelmed, and behind on life
  • Struggle to manage time and attention
  • Are preparing for independent living after high school (either as a current high school or college student)
  • Have tried other strategies but struggled to see full results
  • Are looking for easy ways to smooth out life, one skill at a time
  • Sometimes struggle with emotions or social situations
  • Have failed a class or have challenging patterns that have been hard to break
  • Feel like they want to be more independent but don’t know how
  • Need someone in their corner to support them and hold unwavering belief in their potential
  • Need a space to come to problem-solve real world challenges

When you get to the checkout you’ll enter YOUR contact information (not your teens) and pay for the program (for both you and them - one registration fee gives you both access).

Once you’ve registered, you’ll provide your teen’s contact information and we’ll ensure that they get an email to set their password to gain access to the full Life After High School program.

As soon as you register you’ll also get access to the program overview, the quick tools vault, a special message from Sarah Kesty, and access to Module 1 so you can see firsthand what your teen/young adult is going to be doing/learning.

The course is designed to be completed in 21 weeks, with 3 weeks of “buffer time” to catch up, review, or go deeper by using coach support to apply their favorite new tools.

You start when your family is ready, having 6 months of learning and coaching!

It is normal to be worried that your teen may struggle to engage. We built the program with this concern in mind, using teen feedback and a deep understanding of the teen brain. We’ve gamified participation, allowing students to earn and redeem rewards along the way. We’ve made the videos short, uplifting, and easy to apply right away. And, the coaching? It’s the secret sauce! Your teen will love time with Sarah and the program coaches, feeling heard, understood, and deeply cared for.

Your teen will be able to share their participation and completion inside of their program dashboard. Many families incentivize their teen to start and stick with the program, offering rewards for milestones like one month completion or completing so many hours or activities. You may also consider making a routine of talking about the program each week, for accountability and the chance to celebrate your teen’s growth!

Sarah is an ADHD and autism expert, and Life After High School is a 2024 CHADD (Children and Adults with ADHD) Innovative Program. A former member of CAPTAIN (a California state autism education expert group), Sarah designed Life After High School to honor and give tools for every brain. Neurodivergent brains thrive with Sarah’s approach!

Life After High School is based in brain science, research on academic strategies, pragmatic and social communication tools, and real-world strategies from Sarah’s 20 years in education and from 2000 students in the classroom and in coaching. The tools work. They have transformed the lives of hundreds of teens and young adults. It’s your teen’s time to shine!

Weekly coaching is designed to support students at any point in the program. There is no need to worry if your child is unable to watch the videos one week or needs to miss a coaching session. Our program is designed with real life in mind! The last three weeks of Life After High School offer students a chance to catch up, review, or go deeper with their learning, as no new required videos will be added at that time.

Your teen may take a while to warm up to coaching in a group. That’s ok. Attending coaching without asking for individual support is still powerful; your teen is able to hear from others with similar problems and watch them find solutions with expert coaching! Group coaching will offer different methods of engagement and participation, so your teen will not be left out if they are not yet ready to ask for individual coaching at first. Sarah is able to reach students who may feel resistant or shy at the beginning. There is space for everyone, and we honor that your teen may need time to acclimate to group coaching.

Having executive function struggles can be isolating and lonely. Whether they voice it or not, our teens are likely wondering why they have challenges and comparing themselves to their peers. Having a safe group to come to is an incredible gift. Our teens realize quickly that they are not alone, their struggles are both real and solvable, and the group has their back. Many students are able to form connections that extend outside of coaching, many building into real-life friendships!

In addition to the weekly video lessons and resources, we offer weekly group coaching sessions, access to a private community, and direct support from Sarah Kesty.

As mentioned above, it is normal for students to take a while to get into a new routine, and you may be worried that your teen will engage inconsistently. The course is designed with teen (and neurodivergent) brains in mind; it is engaging, supportive, and flexible, offering many ways to learn and grow. The program will offer strategies and support to set up systems, routines, and accountability from the start, so your teen or young adult completes (and loves) the learning and coaching program. Built-in gamification allows your teen to earn rewards for participation and coaching builds a unique connection and accountability for them.
View the full refund policy here.

Your teen will have 6 months of access to the course materials. Teens will have an option to extend their learning and coaching, if they would like to at the end of their program.

Life After High School empowers young adults to thrive in college, trade or tech school, and work settings. The academic skills developed are broad and will help in any setting; together, we learn to read efficiently, write well, and handle big projects!
